How to reach Seville

Málaga to Seville

Málaga International Airport is the main airport on the Costa del Sol in Spain located 8km southwest of Málaga and 5km north of Torremolinos. It has flight connections to over 60 countries worldwide. There are three terminals: Terminal 1 is used for flights to and from most international destinations outside of the EU, Terminal 2 accepts aircraft from EU countries including the UK and Ireland while Terminal 3 deals with almost all international/nationals arrivals and departures.

If you fly to Málaga you have several options to reach Seville.

Málaga to Seville by train
The train from Seville to Malaga takes between two-and-a-half and four hours. This is the quickest and most convenient way to get from Malaga to Seville. You can book your train ticket from Malaga to Seville at www.renfe.es.

Trains depart from the Maria Zambrano Station in Malaga center 9 km from Malaga Airport with which it is connected by the suburban train (Cercanías) C-1. The suburban train station is situated in the new Terminal T3 building about five minutes walk from T2. Malaga Maria Zambrano Station is just 4 stops from Malaga Airport Station. Trains run every 30 minutes from 07:03 to 23:49 from the airport to Malaga center and every 30 minutes from 05:33 to 22:33 from the center to the airport.

Málaga to Seville by bus
There are regular buses throughout the day between Malaga and Seville. The journey takes three to four hours. However, the train has a similar price, is quicker and more comfortable.

Málaga to Seville by car
The 200km drive from Malaga to Seville takes about two-and-a-half hours, traveling mainly by A45 and A92 highways. All major car rental companies are represented at Malaga airport.
